Valentines Ball, 10th February 2007 Latin Fever hit Portrush when Rio Salsa held their Valentines Ball at the Royal Court Hotel in support of the Ulster Cancer Foundation. The evening was opened with a fine carvery meal served to around 150 guests by the staff of the Royal Court Hotel. Then the real entertainment opened with a short beginners lesson from David & Lauren of Nu Salsa, which had the dance floor full in no time and with a fine mix of music from David the floor was at capacity the whole night. During the night, guests were treated to displays of Rueda by the Rio Salsa Dance Group and an excellent performance by David & Lauren. The guests also had the opportunity to win gifts drawn from a wide selection of donations made by local shops and businesses that supported us in our fund raising quest for the UCF, in spot prize draws and raffles. | Rio Salsa would like to thank all you that supported us; the local shops and businesses for their generous donations, but most of all Our guests at the Ball, whom we hope had a great evening. Together we managed to raise £1665 for the Ulster Cancer Foundation. Thank You.. |  |
Christmas Party, 2nd December 2006
Thanks to those of you who braved the weather and made it to Scotties for dinner. After all that food, congratulations to everyone who managed to make it to Rafters to dance it all off! More thanks to Clare from Sabroso who hosted the evening and made us feel very welcome. |  |

Halloween Party, 28th Coctober 2006 A great night was had by all at our recent Halloween Party. All of us at 'RioSalsa' would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who came and shared in an enjoyable night of fun and dance. It was fantastic to see so many of you in fancy dress. |  |
With the varied mix of music styles, the non-salseros were able to strut their stuff and certainly added to the spirit of the evening! We look forward to seeing you again at future events.
